REMINDER: Boy Scout Troop #375 will be holding an Open House at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, at St. Francis Church Unity Place (around back), 15236 21st Ave SW, to plan for the Youth Outdoor Adventure Day scheduled for this Saturday, March 5, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Camp Long in West Seattle.
Youth Outdoor Adventure Day is sponsored by the Boy and Girl Scouts of America in partnership Seattle Parks and Recreation. On Tuesday, at our Troop 375 meeting open house, our scouts will meet with local families who would like their boys (ages 10-17) to participate in the Saturday event at Camp Long.
We will connect your child with our scouts, who can host them at the Saturday event. Most of our scouts are trained in youth mentoring from their summer work as camp counselors at several Boy Scout camps in the area. You and your boy(s) are welcome to attend the open house and meet our scouts.
We encourage all families looking for outdoor activities for their boys to plan to attend Youth Outdoor Adventure Day. Scouting is a great program, and there will be a dozen troops represented at Camp Long this Saturday.
Even if your family does not join our troop. we encourage them to join scouting by finding another troop at the event. Scouting will improve your child’s life and help them prepare for life as an adult. And it will get them away from video games and television.
