Core planning teams—composed of 40-60 individuals representative of the diverse constituencies and voices of Evergreen and Tyee—met January though June 2016 to reflect on the past ten years of operating the small school model.

The teams reviewed what small schools are doing well, so these practices can be shared across the system, and identified changes necessary to ensure that we have equitable opportunities across all our high schools.

The core planning teams developed recommendations to ensure an equitable and rigorous high school experience for all students.

At the work session, the school board will discuss the recommendations and a plan for moving forward.
