Do you know a child who will be five years old on or before Aug. 31? The time to register for kindergarten for next fall in Highline Public Schools is now open.
The first 500 families to register will receive two free tickets to the Woodland Park Zoo. Learn about other opportunities if you register now!
To enroll, please visit your neighborhood school during regular school hours. After the zoo tickets run out, those who register early will receive a new book.
Most importantly, students who enroll early will have access to free kindergarten readiness programs and materials. This includes free PreK Play and Learn (starting February), school-based events, and Kindergarten Jump Start (August 21-25).
Students must be registered for kindergarten to attend these programs and events.
To help families to work with their students at home, the district has created Kindergarten Readiness Guidelines (PDF file) for parents to keep as a guide to kindergarten readiness.
