Science and Management of Addictions (SAMA) will be holding its monthly ‘Youth In Recovery’ night on Sunday, Sept. 22 starting at 4:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room of the Burien Library.
SAMA focuses on eliminating the disease of substance addiction in youth (ages 13-25) by advancing research, education and treatment. Family Navigator Service is available for families and community outreach.

Our mission is to eliminate the disease of substance addiction in youth by advancing research, education and treatment. Our vision is that young people and their families find the resources they need to overcome the disease of substance addiction. We will accomplish our mission by supporting research on the science and management of addictions, by assuring availability of effective substance abuse prevention and treatment services, by providing information about substance abuse treatments, and by advocating for research and treatment of substance addiction.
