Local non-profit Harvest Craft will be holding its annual ‘Party on the Point’ fundraiser in Burien’s Three Tree Point neighborhood on Saturday, Sept. 9.
The event – which will be held at a private residence – will include live music by Kenny Moreno from California, a sit-down dinner, drinks, a silent auction and more.
Proceeds from the event will be going toward projects in Cambodia and Haiti.
“Please join us to see what last year’s Party on the Point proceeds helped us accomplish in Cambodia and what else Harvest Craft has achieved and sustained in Haiti!”
Harvest Craft’s mission is to equip, educate, and empower communities in developing countries through sustainable food production systems. These systems help equip people with an economic gain, while providing for their immediate physical needs through healthy organic produce.
“Our heart behind Harvest Craft stemmed from a desire to do developmental work effectively and holistically. We wanted to stop the handout culture, and to empower people overseas. At its core it’s economic development; but it has become so much more than that. Through the success of projects, we have learned that when you are able to take care of basic essential needs, the possibilities are endless.”
