Join the City of Burien and DIRT Corps for the final phase of the Burien Rain Garden Project to build 10 rain gardens in low income neighborhoods in Burien while educating the community along the way, this Saturday, Oct. 7, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

This will be the final ‘Learn & Do Workshop’ to teach Burien residents how to build a rain garden themselves.

Please email marye@burienwa.gov to register so we can plan for food and refreshments.

The event will take place at 12213 4th Ave SW in Burien (map below).

Workshop instruction will be available in both English and Spanish. No experience is necessary. Volunteer learners will have the opportunity to earn a Rain Garden Certificate of Training awarded by City of Burien and DIRT Corps.

Every participant goes home with a FREE RAIN GARDEN PLANT!

Food and refreshments will be provided. Restrooms are available courtesy of the homeowner.

Thank you to our previous volunteers for all their hard work at our Phase 1 and Phase 2 workshops!
