Clint Sallee selected as second Co-Principal for Highline High School

Highline Public Schools Superintendent Susan Enfield on Thursday (May 3) announced that Clint Sallee has been selected as co-principal of Highline High School.

Sallee will start July 1, and will partner with Tremain Holloway in the role of co-principal (read about Tremain here).

Here’s more info on Clint:

  • He currently serves as assistant principal at Chief Sealth International High School in Seattle.
  • He grew up in the Seattle area and graduated from Auburn Riverside High School.
  • He earned a BA in American Studies from Reed College in Portland and a master’s degree in the history of education from Stanford University.
  • Upon completing his master’s, Clint taught social studies and humanities in Baltimore before returning to Seattle.

Te district said in a statement that he “has strengths in several areas that emerged as priorities in staff, student and family feedback,” including:

  • Experience, understanding of and willingness to addresses issues of race and equity head on.
  • Ability to build school systems that include input from student and staff.
  • Desire to partner with and engage in community relationships aimed at strengthening the school.
  • Clint will partner with Tremain Holloway in the role of co-principal.

“We thank all who provided input in the co-principal selection process, by completing the online survey, participating in the community meeting or serving on the interview team,” Enfield said.
