Soroptimist Int’l of Seattle South club will be celebrating its 60th year assisting women and girls in our community through fundraising and advocacy efforts with its annual Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, June 20.
They will be awarding over $57,000 to several local organizations that promote the Soroptimist mission of “improving the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment.”
Award beneficiaries include: Vision House, The Genesis Project, Highline College Women’s Program, Hospitality House, Titusville, Malawi Orphan Milk Fund, and Foster High School FBLA program; as well as their signature Soroptimist award program, the “Live Your Dream” award which benefits a female head of household who is furthering her education.
They will also be inducting their new board of directors and officers.
