Highline Public Schools offering free Summer lunch program for local children

Highline Public Schools announced that it will provide free breakfast, lunch, and snacks to children during the summer through the Simplified Summer Food Program (SSFP).

Nine Highline schools will join five community organizations to serve children living in South King County.

Meals will be free to children 18 years old and younger. A child does not need to be a Highline Public Schools student to participate.

Registration is not required. There are no forms to fill out and no names are written down. Food cannot be taken off the premises.

Please note all sites will be closed July 4, 2014, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

SSFP ensures children in lower-income areas continue to receive nutritious meals during school breaks, when they do not have access to school lunch or breakfast.
