Highline High School grad Eliot Baker, who wrote a novel called “The Last Ancient,” will be doing a book signing at Burien Books this Saturday, July 26 from 1 – 3 p.m.
“My book won my publisher’s 2013 Champagne Book Group Annual Author Awards Novel of the Year a couple months back, and I have been promoting it up and down Cape Cod,” Baker told The B-Town Blog. “Back in Finland now, but will be back in Burien for the PNWA conference July 17 – 20, and then will stick around a few weeks.”
Currently Eliot lives in Finland and is visiting the states while on book tour.
From the Author:
“Above all, I hope you have fun when you read The Last Ancient. But if along the way you find yourself re-considering things like science & mythology, warfare & technology, journalism & corruption, obsession & love, alchemy & philosophy–all the better.”
“A multilayered, surprising and beautifully written novel of mythology, suspense and mystery.” – Kirkus Reviews * Novel of the Year, 2013 Champagne Book Group Annual Author Awards *
“This wickedly fun horror novel thrusts readers into a Nantucket setting with a mixture of local hunters, wealthy do-gooders, and a sordid family past.” – Foreword Clarion Review
