A public meeting on the Miller-Walker Basin Stormwater Retrofit will be held Tuesday, Nov. 4 at the Burien Community Center.
“The Miller Walker Basin Partners (the cities of Burien, Normandy Park and SeaTac, King County, and the Port of Seattle) have conducted a stormwater retrofit analysis that has identified potential strategies and projects to help reduce runoff into Miller and Walker Creeks,” reads an announcement. “Join us for a Public Meeting to take comments about these potential projects.”
At this final public meeting, preliminary design plans for the top six projects selected out of the initial set of 80 sites will be available. These projects may be eligible for grant funding from the WA State Dept. of Ecology for final design and construction.
