Who should be held in Contempt?
How does it feel to know, the 5 people we have elected to the Highline School Board hold us in contempt?
They held a school bond election last year and they didn’t like the way we voted, so they decided to ram a new election down our throats! They think they know better than us stupid voters! They want yours and my money to build several new schools instead of repairing the ones we have. They think they are better educated than we are and they know what’s best for us poor stupid voters!
Do you want the “HIGHLINE SCHOOL BOARD OF CONTEMPT” trying to override our NO votes?
Resolution 15-14 provides the basis for PROPOSITION #2 IN THIS ELECTION “ The resolution contains the following “The district shall issue Bonds to pay costs of the projects and levy annual excess property taxes to pay and retire the bonds.” The resolution lists eight projects that these funds are to be used to construct. The description of each of these projects contains the disclaimer of “all as deemed necessary and advisable by the Board”.
In other words “maybe they will use the money to construct these Projects or maybe not, or they can spend the money any way they want” and there’s nothing we can do about it!
I know that’s hard to believe but, ask them where they got the money to build the Performing Arts Center at Highline High School!
