The Toastmasters International club, Growthmasters Club #4801, recently changed its meeting time to 12:00 p.m. at Burien Evangelical Church at 500 SW 146th Street, across from the Burien Community Center.
Growthmasters meetings are held every Thursday at 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and are free to attend for visitors.
“If you’re seeking employment or working on earning your next promotion, now is a great time to sharpen your communication and leadership skills,” reads an announcement. “Public speaking is a fear shared by most people. Like sports, the art of public speaking takes some practice. The best place to practice is in a friendly atmosphere where everyone has the same goal as you – to get better. Growthmasters aims to provide a nurturing and constructive environment to help enhance communication and leadership skills. Toastmasters is a self-paced program that equips you with the communication tools needed to boost your confidence at work and in your social circles.”
