A Concussion Prevention and Traumatic Brain Injury event will be held at the Burien Library on Tuesday, Oct. 6, starting at 7 p.m.
“From youth sports to the professional level, sports-related brain injuries are a serious issue for athletes and their families,” reads an announcement. “Hear a discussion on the prevalence of sports- related concussions and how to protect your athlete.”
Speakers will include Seattle Seahawaks Team Physician Dr. Stanley Herring, and Zackery Lystedt (the namesake of the Lystedt law, the first sports return to play law that has now been implemented nationwide).
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for light refreshments.
