Volunteers are needed to serve as ‘Environmental Detectives’ for Sylvester Middle School students on Thursday, Dec. 8.
8th grade students will gather at the Burien Community Center for an investigation field day to discover the “Mystery of the Dying Fish.”
Students will rotate through stations collecting “clues” by testing water quality, graphing wildlife population dynamics, and reading and discussing community member testimonies.
“We are in need of volunteers to help facilitate the stations and lead students through the clues,” reads an announcement. “No science experience necessary! All training is provided!”

This event is hosted by the City of Burien and King Conservation District.
