‘Artshops’ is a FREE hands-on arts workshop time for elementary aged students, co-sponsored by the Burien Library and with support from the City of Burien Parks, Rec. and Culture. All materials are provided.
The four free sessions take place Thursday mornings during the Farmer’s Market – from 10 a.m. to Noon in the multi-purpose room of the Burien Library (400 SW 152nd Street).

- July 27: Make Your Own Portfolio/sketchbook (includes basic color mixing, brush handling, collage and more)
- Aug. 3: Self Portraits, charicatures, big and small scale, using your senses….
Instructor for Aug. 24 & 31 is Oscar Sanchez Mendoza:
- Aug. 24: Make a mobile like Calder (the artist Alexander Calder)
- Aug. 31: Make a giant “YOU”
