Friday morning (Jan. 12) at around 11 a.m., Highline High School experienced a partial power outage due to a burnt fuse.
Lunch and classes were not impacted, and power is expected to be restored later this evening.
This is the second electrical outage in ten days – the previous one on Jan. 2 sent students home early.
Seattle City Light says this outage is affecting 42 customers in the neighborhood, and the estimated restoration time is 6 p.m.
This evening’s school play, “The Craving” has been canceled. Saturday’s performances, a matinee at 2 p.m. and an evening performance at 7 p.m., will continue as scheduled.
The girls basketball game vs. Orting was also canceled, along with gymnastics practice. The boys basketball game at Orting and other practices will continue as scheduled.
