The 3rd annual ‘Zombie Fest’ will crawl into the Normandy Park Towne Center from 4 – 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27!
This year’s theme – aside from lots of fun – is to raise Awareness about Disaster Preparedness, provide visibility for local businesses and raise money for the Highline Schools Foundation Excel Grant program, the Highline Food Bank, the Des Moines Food Bank and the Friends of Normandy Park Foundation, a new 501 c3 that will raise funds and plan events to boost awareness about Normandy Park as a great place to live and work.
Money raised will go to the Highline Schools Foundation Excel Grant program, Highline Food Bank, Des Moines Food Bank and Friends of Normandy Park Foundation:
- 2 baskets of items for true Seahawks fans!
- 1 basket of Halloween decorations & spooky items!
- 1 basket from Normandy Park Market
- Gorgeous jewelry!
- Gift certificates to: EMP (4 tickets), Normandy Park Ale House, Soggy Doggy, Normandy Perk, Optimal Health Spine and Wellness.
Here’s the Zombie Fest schedule:
- 4pm-6pm: Live band – Vote for Pedro
- 6pm-6:15pm: Seattle Thrillers dance performance
- 6:15pm-7:45pm: Zombie Zumbathon
- 6:45pm: Costume contest winners announced
- 7:45pm: Raffle winners announced
- 8pm or so… Festival ends.
The focus of Zombie Fest is emergency and disaster preparedness, so we’ll offer kids an emergency kit check list. They can collect emergency kit items at the many Zombie Fest booths!
There will also be a self-defense mini class and emergency preparedness books and brochures!
